As I reflect over the years a friend once ask me what do you do when you wake up in the morning, and before you go to bed at night?
I said the first thing I do when I wake up each morning is Thank God for allowing me another day.
As I look in the mirror each morning, I see one person, myself. I continue to say to myself that I must set a positive example and always do what's right in my daily routine
I ask myself what can I do to help someone each day, and before I go to bed at night, I ask myself did I do anything to help someone that day.
Anything I accomplished. I give all the Glory to GOD. Although people in general experience a lot of hardship in life, just know that GOD has the perfect timing for everything, Trust in Him and let his will be done.
As I reflect on my life. I continue to thank the Lord for what he has done for me. Ever since I was 14 years old, I always dreamed about reaching as high as I can to become a better person in life and successful in anything I do, most importantly share my success with others.
I do what I do, and enjoy what I do. I try to do my best in what I do. Sometimes my best is not nearly what I like it to be. I guess that's life. Even at my best sometimes, something is missing. To be honest with you, skies the limit. I always wanted a break in life. Good things come to those who wait. I continue to press on. Failure is not an option.
I continue to say to others. If you don't trust yourself who will you trust? When I started my business I said to myself, I trust what is in me and I'm going to take a risk owning a business.
There are a vast amount of individuals unemployed. My advice to them is keep the faith, and trust in God.
As a former united states army senior warrant officer. I want to be able to provide employment opportunities to individuals regardless of their disabilities and give them hope for a better outlook in life.
Our corporation vision is to provide all clients, federal, local, and commercial customers with the best price, best value, and exceed all deliverables accomplishing mission requirements in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
Making a difference in someone life is one of the greatest gifts that you can give them.
Several of my goals are to continue to create a life for myself and others, always have compassion for people, feed the hungry, provide shelter, make a difference in people, reach out to the less fortunate, giving back to communities, understanding human behavior, and instill in them the following, motivation, determination, dedication, and a will to win outlook in life. Helping those who is willing to help themselves.
Give people hope It will pay off huge dividends.
Give all you can give in life and remember don't ever give up on your dreams in life because dreams are dreams some dreams come true. I found a real dream when I found my business opportunity owning and managing LOGMT.
This is a reflection of how I grew up in a place that is called the concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do. growing up in Harlem New York on 116th Street and Manhattan Avenue on the West Side was a blessing. ” I learned from the school of hard knocks and realize a good education is an essential part of success.”
However, one must have a certain respect and admiration for those who have made their marks without the benefit of having a good traditional university education.
The culture that we call street knowledge has given birth to some of the most successful and insightful people in the world. Many of us would not be here today if it was not for the skills and knowledge we acquired and the dues we paid on the streets.
There is no replacement for the street sense and instinct as it is a critical source of knowledge as well. There is no school tougher than the school of hard knocks!
If individuals are willing to make sacrifices for veterans and their family members, military personnel on the battlefield, then LOGMT is where you want to be.
Therefore, regardless of any situation, you are placed in, always have it in your heart to go beyond the distance.
The harder I work, it is hard to surrender, some of us will do our job well, and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing-the result.
Always remember it’s going to be a struggle. Nothing comes easy and you shouldn't expect handouts. You must work hard, be thankful, stay focused on your objectives, and continue to make a difference while dealing with today’s challenges.
It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, and when you're number one. What individuals need to have is faith and discipline when you're not a winner.
At LOGMT we believe in providing "Results Not Excuses" because not having it is no excuse for not getting it, and most of all nothing beat a failure but a try.
I was ask why does authority win? the answer to the question is, it only wins most of the time. If you change the system at its roots rather than the way you’ve been working, you’ll get much more done without wearing yourself out.
I highly recommend that people focus on the following. The strong take away from the weak, while the smart take away from the strong.
As I say to others your job over the next few days is to be smart; to stay strong and to work the system so real progress can be made.
How do you measure success: The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.
The question was ask what do you love about your job? Mr. Watt replied by saying our corporation has a purpose, and commitment because life is never easy. Sacrifices may be required to realize your dreams.
You need to know what the rules are before you can win the games.
If you give up your through, your just doubting yourself. I may give out, but I will never give up.
One must realize that people who become successful did so because they persisted. Only a personal involvement with what you enjoy doing will produce the kind of persistence that propels you out of bed in the morning and make you willing to work long and hard.
If you're satisfied with investing in yourself, you will be on your way to becoming successful.
As I continue to conduct a self-evaluation, I ask am I developing my skills, talent, and abilities.
Have I made a plan that will help me to develop them?.
Am I constantly improving my relationship with others.
I continue to ask my co-workers for feedback about my performance.
I understand investing in yourself means developing both of these aspects: the technical knowledge you need in order to do your work effectively and the human relations skills you need in order to work effectively with others.
When I was a young teenager I recall Mr. Joseph Brooks, CEO at Lord & Taylor department store, in New York City once said, "if you love your work, and do it well, someone will observe your work efforts...Let the quality of your work do it for you."
Remember to become successful, do it GOD's way. Rely on your talents, skills, and abilities. Invest them in a business of profession that you enjoy doing very much.
Invest in your personal growth and development. Become the very best at what you do at your work even if it pays you little right now.
If you really like what you are doing, eventually a decent salary will catch up with your reputation. The bottom line is persistence. Become an expert at relating well with others.
Remember when you maximize your potential, everyone wins, when you don't, we all lose.
Life is always a balancing act, only you can make the decision to follow your dreams. If you have a dream and work ethic, see it through.
Change your life and be fully committed in pursuit of your dreams.
Never quit in anything you do. If you want to be a winner, then surround yourself around winners.
Most importantly I love what I do, and do what I love, providing employment opportunities for growth, giving back, making a difference in the most important resources, which is people, and communities.
I was ask what did I love about the military? my reply was meeting people from different cultures and giving people opportunities to excel. As the leader in charge of soldiers as well as government employees. I always place their needs above my own.
I was ask what do you remember about your commanders in the military. I said each and everyone of my commanders in the military as well as corporate employment, trusted my decisions in support of mission requirements.
The next question was ask how do you view the jobs you were selected for in the military as well as civilian enterprise.
I have always informed my military assignment managers to give me the jobs assignments no one wants and I will do my very best to make a difference.
A job is a job regardless of what position you are placed in however, you must have happiness in your job, if you don't find happiness in your job, it's time to move on.
Most importantly be thankful for having a job and making a difference in the position you are assigned to.
I always said there is something in all of us that drives us to want to own a business, or work for someone and not own a business. I believe it's a calling or a drive.
Each day I continue to look up to our Lord and Savior, follow my dreams, live the quality life, and stay focused on my objectives.
I will not compromise nor violate my Integrity. I will not violate the Rules of Law.
I will continue to stand my grounds with courage and conviction.
On my journey, I lived a hard life and understand why poor people don't have many options in life.
When I go into a room full of strangers. I walk out with a vast amount of networking associates.
As I progressed in life I never forget where I came from.
When things get tough you must keep on keeping on.
I was ask how do I think I would achieve long life. My reply was, just keep living.
I continue to say what individuals want in life is an equal opportunity to enjoy life and make their own way, my advice is "Make your own opportunities". When you see them, take hold of them and never give up".
Remember to make a better-quality life for everyone get more involved in your community either through volunteer work or political activities.
Reach out to others. You may be surprised to find them reaching back to you. As you proceed in life continue to find the challenge in your career. Treat your job as more than the place you go to every day in exchange for money. Learn to turn everyday problems into opportunities.
But most importantly, follow your dreams. In looking back over my life I never say "I wish I had..." I did say. "I 'm glad I did...!"?
Treat everyone with respect, regardless of who they are, where they come from, and how they treat you, on the long run they will never understand why they mistreated you.
I was asked what is one of your favorite books that you have read, my reply was Becoming A Millionaire GODS Way.
I was ask what was the best poem that I enjoyed as a child. My reply was by Langston Huges "Mother To Son"
Have faith and be hope to others, most importantly don't look down because you will see things that don't look right.
Be content in life with what you have and don't look down on others. Never forget where you come from. Have compassion for others.
My goal in life is to be able to provide to the less fortunate, towards food, clothing, and shelter.
I will continue to provide a one shop stop in services support to all customers.
As I continue to inform every employee that works for Logmt, that I will not take short cuts to do my job, nor will they take shortcuts to do their job.
As I become successful, I must continue to be thankful, keep my feet on the ground, keep thick skin, and be able to share my success with others.
Always provide every customers 110% service support and go beyond the distance to keep a smile on their face.
I realize for all we know our blessing are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but others praying for us, When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of everyone.
